CMM Operator April 5th 2022

Type – full-time (Days / Afternoons)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dimensional data and report data using PC-DMIS and CMM Manager
  • Generate reports for both internal use and for customers.
  • Must be able to interpret GD&T
  • Use of standard measuring equipment (vernier calipers, micrometers)
  • Proficient in certifying check fixtures and performing GR&R studies
  • Ability to program part layouts and capability studies
  • Quality Assurance system knowledge asset but not required
  • Good communication skills

Qualifications:

  • College or University engineering graduate, with a focus in Quality Engineering; or
  • Technical Studies specific to CMM Programming/Operation
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience with CMM software. PC-DMIS and CMM Manager.
  • Use of Polyworks Inspector and/or Modeler software is an asset
  • Strong organizational and workload planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficient in certifying check fixtures and performing GR&R and capability studies
  • Able to interpret GD&T data
  • Working knowledge of Quality Systems including APQP processes, control plans, PFMEAs, using IATF standards
  • Ability to use MS Word and Excel computer applications
  • Minimum 1-2 years shop-floor experience using check fixtures, workstation layouts, quality control checks, segregating non-conforming material in a IATF / ISO environment
